EPIPHANY AND THE MAGI: In the conventionel version of Christmas story, the three wise men, Gaspar, Melchior and Balthasar started the gift-giving custom of Christmas by bringing Gold, Frankincense and myrrh to the Christ child on Epiphany, the day on which the infant was presented. EPIPHANY is the end of the Christmas Season, 12 days after Christmas. The wise mwn were noble birth, educated, wealthy and influential. They were philosophers, the counselors of rules, learned it in all the wisdom of the Ancient East.
